In a posting, there seems tivo has some work to do on the new interfaces. Should I wait awhile before purchasing a Tivo Premiere

That's up to you. The hardware won't change any time soon. The software will continually be updated over the next few months. If the new HD UI isn't ready for prime time, you can always use the classic UI until it is.

Yeah, no reason to wait -- without the new interface, it'll just be like a faster S3/HD, with some other new features.

Much more of a must do update for S2 and earlier Tivos. I'll be happy to have dual tuner capacity back and 45 hours of HD recording time for $229.
