Just received an e-mail from Amazon and they have pushed up the delivery date to March 31st on the Premiere HD. I have two on pre-order.

Are there any discounts at amazon or is it the retail price?

Come on Amazon, make up your mind... is it 3/30 or 3/28 ?

It still shows a 3/28 release date so your delivery may just be pushed back if they had to change which warehouse you will be getting your shipment from. Also they could now be shipping it on Monday to you instead of leaving the warehouse on Friday.

Has anyone heard any info on when Premieres ordered through TiVo will be shipped? "Early April" is not very satisfying. :(

I get the idea that TiVo will pre-load the new software on the TiVos they ship so you don't have wait for a software upgrades when you first run guided setup as you will if you purchase from any other source.

From what I understand TiVo will be shipping the TiVo Premieres with current software on them and an update will be available in early April that has the new software on it, so whenever you get your TiVo Premiere, you're still going to be waiting for the new software. Some users have been able to buy a TiVo Premiere at Best Buy for the past few days now.

Man, I initially ordered via Amazon Prime, but decided to throw Tivo a bone and ordered direct from Tivo with Lifetime and the extended warranty.
Now I have a feeling the people that ordered from Amazon will have it much sooner then us Tivo people. :(

They might have the premiere but not the new guild. We might get the Premiere with the guide before the people who bought theirs from Amazon get the download.

All signs point to no. If Amazon and Best Buy ship or have the units available 3/28 and TiVo.com waits to ship units before the UI is ready, then I would expect the UI to be available as an update while the units are still being shipped out by TiVo.

When I talked to the tivo cs they said the tivo will be shipped out with new UI.

My point was while those TiVos are shipping from TiVo.com the update will very likely have gone live so anyone who already has a Premiere at their house will be able to download the update. So even if you pick next day shipping the units people already have would now be updated.
Now it is possible they may wait to roll it out or roll it out in waves like they have done in the past.
