Nice to see Diane Neal again after she got bumped from "Law & Order: SVU."
So they made her a redhead and a female doppleganger for Gibbs who works for the Coast Guard Investigative Service? AND named her Abby? H'mm. I wouldn't mind if she came back for a few more episodes.
Seriously, did anybody NOT figure out within the first 15 minutes that the body in the diver's suit was the doctor and not the Navy diver?

Thumbs up for mention of Captain BLOOD / Errol Flynn

This episode really felt like a pilot for a spinoff. But overall not bad.
And I'd like to see CGIS Abby have some kind of run in with Gibb's (sort-of?) girlfriend the attorney.

She was on an episode of White Collar a few weeks ago too ...

I had the same feeling hopefully CBS is not considering it but I would not doubt it for we already have 3 varieties of CSI and 2 of NCIS.
Doubt it. The whole CGIS crew was intentionally chosen to mirror Gibbs et al. If there was a spinoff, it would look remarkably similar to NCIS since the team makeup is practically identical.

That would make it better than NCIS:Los Angeles right off the bat.

Indeed. NCIS: Los Angeles is the NCIS equivalent of CSI: Miami. Very pretty but quite stupid.
I watch it only for Daniela Ruah, who plays Kenzi. :D

Come to think of it, if NCIS: LA went under (unlikely), she would fit in perfectly with the CSI: Miami crew.

I find her eyes very distracting, even a bit freaky!

And I watch it mostly for Linda Hunt. :p
Daniela is fun, though. I'm also enjoying LL Cool J's performances.

Ditto! Way more than a bit freaky. Usually (for me at least), there are "bits" on a woman that make it hard to focus on her face. With Daniela, I find the opposite is true.

LOL. Yeah, me too.
Sorry all for the thread hijack, back to NCIS. I wonder if the Coast Guard Abby is going to be back?
And the Coast Guard probie seemed familiar. Finally remembered where I'd seen him. He was in the short-lived That 80s show.

Yeah, Daniela's right eye birthmark does make it difficult to focus on her better parts.:)

Talk about eye-candy! Oh wait, you weren't. Nevermind!
As for Daniela Ruah's eyes, I have never noticed anything distracting. I bet next episode that is all I will be able to focus on. Thanks guys!

So they made her a redhead [...]
She was a redhead. For some inexplicable reason, SVU made her go blonde after a few seasons. :yuk:
