Will i lose lifetime on my s3 if I upgrade to premiere with lifetime

If I take the premiere with lifetime deal will I lose the lifetime on my s3. I may sell my s3 1tb hard drive and lifetime on Ebay or craigelist to help pay for the premiere.

The TiVo FAQ says that you keep the Lifetime on the S3. Which makes sense since you are not transferring the Lifetime to the new box.

The current offer is its own PL subscription, not a transfer.

You should be free to sell your Series 3 later, which it's PL will remain with it.

That's not how the lifetime transition went from my S1->S3, but maybe it's a different animal now.

It is a different animal now for sure. I "lost" my PLS on my S2 (which then went to monthly, and later annual subscription) when I transferred it to the S3. I pulled the trigger today and "upgraded" my S3 for 50% off PLS on Premiere, and I still retain PLS on the S3.

With the original S3 upgrade offer, you could get lifetime on a S3 and a year's subscription on your old lifetime box. The new deal gives you lifetime on the S4 and keeps lifetime on the old box.

So does the original box, which retains lifetime, still continue to be a qualifying box for multi service discount or upgrades on any future boxes (assuming the Premiere breaks or is sold) ?

What if the original box is given to someone else? Can that someone else use the same original box it as a qualifying box for another MSD or upgrade?
