Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if the TiVo Premiere remote, being blue tooth, is going to have the capability to turn off/on my tv, and switch inputs?

Or am I going to have to have two remotes?

Or maybe I just read it all wrong.

Only the upcoming keyboard remote features Bluetooth. It also has IR.

O.K. Great! =) I was figuring it had to, but you never can be too sure. Thanks!

Since bluetooth is 2-way, can the TiVo program it directly without you having to enter codes numbers.

Anyone know if the enhanced keyboard remote is also a learning remote and glows? If so, how many buttons? The current learning remote is just one or 2 buttons shy of being able to fully control my home theater/projector/screen/audio system.

Thanks

Well, it appears that the remote that ships with the Premiere isn't a learning remote, but the one that ships with the Premiere XL is. I would think that when they release the sliding keyboard remote that it will also have learning capability. Which sucks, I didn't go for the XL and was hoping that the regular Premiere remote would have learning capability because my soundbar doesn't have an IR code and I didn't want (or budget) to buy a learning universal remote.

So if anyone knows for sure whether the TiVo Premiere (regular) remote has learning capability, please let me know. :D

Keep in mind - the premiere does not ship with a bluetooth remote. Its a seperate addon u can buy for any S3/S4 Tivo when released.

I thought the XL shipped with the premium remote with keyboard and the regular version shipped with the standard remote. So there are 3 different remotes in the new release information? That is not at all clear in the tivo sales info. There are going to be a lot of very dissapointed XL buyers when thier XL shows up missing the keyboard remote.

Yes, 3 different remotes. I thought the Glo remote was described well when you went to the XL TiVo page. Where is the Qwerty remote described by TiVo in any context that is confusing?

I also thought the Qwerty remote wasn't going to be released for several months, but can't find that info right now.

How much is this remote going to cost. Are they available now to order?
