So is there a live guide or grid?

No pictures or comments on the live guide or grid. Does Premiere have a live guide? How do I know what is on cable for evening?

Stating the obvious....TiVo isn't showing that functionality yet. My wishlist:

Use the new, faster hardware to render the program guide in high-definition 16:9 with sharper fonts and high-resolution graphics.


Support multiple font sizes with options to display 120 minutes or 180 minutes of program information per channel.


Incorporate genre highlighting, icons to indicate scheduled recordings, an icon or highlighting to differentiate new episodes, an icon or highlighting for recommended shows based on viewer preferences, and a video window in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.


Implement options in guide settings to hide/show all of the above.


One click of the RECORD button would schedule a single recording and two clicks would schedule a series recording, using the default record options defined by the user in the settings menu. Clicking SELECT on a program, rather than record, would additional program information, upcoming episodes, and all available record options.

yes, I assumed there would be a guide. Another thread was joking around and without seeing or reading very few comments on the guide I threw the question out there. Thanks for your response.

One of the changes I would look like to see is the live guide/grid not blocking what is currently on the screen. Yet, I need it big enough to see from across the room.

Some damn good ideas there... I really like the one-button record options a lot. That would make things SO much faster. :up:

Replay has had one-button records and indicators in the guide since the beginning, just like most modern DVRs other than Tivo. Tivo has never wanted people to setup recordings from the guide, they want you to 'Find Shows'. The guide was always an afterthought because it wasn't the Tivo Way.
