I have a Pace RNG110 set top box provided by Comcast. The box uses a removable Motorola M-card CableCard. If I were to buy a TivoHD (or Premiere), would this card simply "plug and play" in the Tivo box? Thanks...

I think they work like Bluetooth in a way, that is, the card gets provisioned/paired initially in setup. Cable cards are supposed to be cablecards, so it should technicallly work in the new device, but COMCAST may require their tech to come on site call their home office to reinitiate pairing on the new device.
My local techs (GCI) so rarely use cable cards that they were almost clueless on setting them up btw. I provided them the TIVO directions for configuring which helped. That was a couple years ago, I can only hope they configured a few more people since then, so I dont go through the hassle with my new premier when I get it.

somewhat repeating -- the cablecard MIGHT be paired with the device and it might not... different cable companies use different methods.
You might be able to just call up and have them pair it -- the new Tivo will presumably have the same screen as the current ones where you call up (I think they even tell you what # to call) and read two sets of numbers to the cable people on the other end of the phone.
So it might work even if they are paired (but presumably your old cable box will be worthless then). If you don't want/need the cable box, you can return it and get a cable card, usually the first FOR FREE, as part of your digital subscription.. and if you DO pay extra for the cable box (e.g. for a HD cable box), your bill might GO DOWN.
