title says it all.

will kidzone (or something like it) be available on the premiere?

I saw the screen with different user lists. Maybe we can assign allowed programs per user?

For those who just want the answer, from that linked page:
Are all the current features available in this new UI?
-The new Premiere HD menus allow all of the same functionality that differentiates TiVo from generic DVRs
-At this point, the only features not available at launch are TiVo KidZone™ and Guru Guide functionality; however, KidZone and Guru Guides are available in SD menus on Premiere and Premiere XL.

So you can have KidZone but you have to shut off the reason you bought the Premiere in the first place....the new UI

thanks for the link and the quote- didn't know that was there.

I guess I'll see how it gets implemented if it's a show stopper for me or not. If that means when the kidzone is enabled my kids have the same SD UI but when I 'unlock' it I get the HD UI then that's one thing. But If the 'grownup zone' is still SD then that's a showstopper.

I'm still on the fence even it the grownup zone is the new UI.

Sounds to me like either you get the SD user interface (which has the kidzone & grownupzone) or the new HD interface (which does not have kidzone at all).

Also sounds like they may be adding KidZone to a future release of the HD UI ("not available at launch"), but there's no way of knowing for sure.

Seems like they could/should roll KidZone into the new user profile system.

would be cool if they did that- I've got 2 older kids (9-11) and one 3 year old - would be nice to set up my little one with her own set- some of the stuff in the kid zone is there for my older boys and she's always saying "this is too scary"- lol.

Pretty soon she'll be like my boys and start running the remote herself. So would be nice if she could just have her own little zone.

I think eventually the permiere will be a great platform but right now there isn't too much compelling to get me to move way from my S3's (basically just the upgrade offers).

I read the faq the same way you do that they will add it later- so i can probably wait.

Any update on this? We use Kidzone every day on the HD...if it's not available in conjunction with the new UI, then there doesn't seem like much reason to really upgrade.

The new UI was no factor in my decision to buy the Premiere.
