I think TiVo just lost me.

That new UI is too busy, too slow and all it does is cram more sponsored content in my face.

Not what I want.

Guess when my series 3 dies, I'll look at the competition. Why pay TiVo a Premium for a slow, ad supported device?

You've used it already, or at least seen video of it in action? I ask because it can't possibly be slower than the Series 3 was when it was new, and yet you bought that. The fact is that you already pay TiVo for a slow, ad supported device.

Yes, I saw a video on engaget. And I didn't buy a slow device in terms of search. The BETA search they added later is seriously slow. The only other slow thing on my series 3 is when I reorganize the season pass list.

And yes, I really dislike the ads on the series 3. They were minimal if there at all when I bought it, and have come in over time.

yet I can't skip them (ie remove them from the UI). Kinda ironic.
