How to enter "." or "-" for over-air antenna channels

I am using a Tivo HD with only an antenna connection. I am able to access all of my local channels via the guide or using the remote channel up and down buttons. However, I cannot figure out how to enter the "." or "-" to enter and jump directly to a channel via the remote number keys (e.g., 7.2 or 32-1).

I tried searching the Tivo site, Google, and the Forums without luck. This seems like a simple action to perform, so hopefully someone has an answer.
