I have a new 160g HD I will would like to replace the original 40g with.

Why can't you pull out the old HD, do a bit copy of the hard drive with a Linux based program and put the new drive back in and have it work?

You can use WinMFS to copy to a new drive. This will also expand the necessary partitions to give more "recording" room.

The partition table and database need modified to add the new space to the system, which is what Winmfs and mfstools do.
