My Humax Tivo series 2 is showing all the signs of HD failure. I have a brand new 500GB drive I could install, except that I have a Mac laptop, so can't format a replacement drive.

Are there folks out there who will format the drive, for a fee?

TIA.

Hi Conbrion,

DVRupgrade (long time forum sponsor) does provide this service. We call it a 'recertification' and it involves testing your drive and installing the appropriate software for your particular model of TiVo on it.

Here is a link to the recertification service on our site ($60)http://www.dvrupgrade.com/dvr/stores/1/recertification.cfm. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Lou
