Whatever happened to Christina (the character)? Was there some storyline with an ex husband or something?
I've seen the actress on "Accidentally on Purpose," when I realized, "Hey, that's Christina from Ugly Betty. Hey... what did happen to Christina?"
I kind of watch sporadically, so I miss some stuff.

She and her husband went back to Scotland at the end of last season to raise the baby after finding out that it was theirs, and not a Meade.

I wonder what the deal was with her. Did the actress just not want to continue? I liked the character. Maybe it was the accent I liked....

She didn't want to relocate to New York City where the show moved production to. I believe she also felt her character had run its course and really wasn't involved in any interesting plot points any more.

I blame all the posters on TCF who called her British.

Wasn't her husband on the show sick for awhile? He get better before they left?

Wasn't her husband on the show sick for awhile? He get better before they left? That's a bit of an understatement. It was to pay for the treatment of his illness that Christina agreed to the surrogacy.

So - I forget ... did they say the treatment worked then?

That makes sense.
It's amazing how they made the transition. Moved all the sets and everything. You can't really tell they moved (except now they do exterior shots, but that's why they did it to begin with, I suppose).
As for the character, she was definitely underutilized. More could (and should) have been done with her.

I also saw her give an interview (maybe the Graham Norton Show?) where she said something about not wanting to be tied down to one particular role and was hungry to get out and audition and try other things and made a comparison to UK TV series generally being short lived and/or having shorter seasons and US series potentially going on for year and years...
I suspect the NYC move that someone else mentioned was a bigger factor?

What about Rebecca Romijn? She left for maternity leave and we never saw her again. I enjoyed her and thought she was coming back.

I think she moved to France to be with DJ, who turned out to be her son (well, Alex is his father) and not Daniel's.

I was thinking that her character was in jail, but I could be wrong. Anyway, Rebecca has been a regular on Eastwick this season. It's been my favorite new show, but unfortunately, it's already been cancelled.

Off topic: It seems any show that Rebecca gets associated with ends poorly. Well, not Ugly Betty, but she didn't last long on this show anyway.
Which is a shame...I like the actress. Really did like Pepper Dennis.
