tivo to mpeg4 converter

Runing on a mac with snow leapord 10.6.2

my tivobutler doesn't seem to work anymore (all files just say error)

can someone suggest another program that will download my tivo programs / convert/ and retain the high-def ones - and if possible download the copyright ones as well.


Tivo transfer downgrades to standard def files and i hate the quality.

I use kmttg, but I'm told iTiVo also works.

The advantage of kmttg over iTiVo is that kmttg is around 4x faster, and also has potential for extended automation with user-customizable commands, as well as background functionality.

Im not as tech knowlegable as most on here... this doesnt look like other apps on my computer since it opens up terminal to run. How does this kinda program affect my system and can i get it to run without opening terminl up all the time.. i just dont want to screw something up that I cant fix! lol

Did you read the manual? I don't use Terminal, I just double-click the .jar file, and away I go...
