TiVo Desktop 2.8 just will not transfer to PC

I have been trying to get TiVo DT 2.8 to transfer to my laptop running Vista and all I get is The recording started transferring but has been interrupted. TiVo will keep trying to transfer the recording. Well guess what - nothing happens. I have installed, uninstalled, reboot, use the cleaner, reboot, re-install and still nothing is working. Any suggestions? I was told by TiVo support to open like 15 ports on my router - how can that fix this?

Try these ports. Worked for me :). BTW running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

no, it's not that... it's still not working. no firewall enabled anyways.
