About time Leonard developed a spine.
Not as geeky episode as I like it.

I loved the explanation by Howard/Raj (can't remember which) where they told Leonard that Penny could have a new boyfriend tomorrow, while Leonard would have to build himself a new girlfriend, so it was just a matter of time before he apologized.
I LOL'd when it turned out that the guitarist was staying on Leonard and Sheldon's couch.

I only smiled at that but I laughed out loud with Sheldon said "I should have asked for more than a robot and a comic book"

Me, too! But you got it backwards...

I was a little disappointed in this episode, it made me uncomfortable to watch. Maybe I just have the same problem as Sheldon and don't like to watch people fight.
That said, when it was funny, it was very funny. Raj had a good line in the comic book store (I think) but I don't remember what it was.
Edit: Found it!
"Sorry" doesn't make up for the fact that I had to make chicken and rice with this vegan guy! Do you know what vegan chicken and rice is? Rice!

Yeah this ep had some amusing spots, but not too funny this time around.

There was the one shirt that Jim Parsons was wearing that actually looked good on him (about halfway thru the ep, I think). He usually wears such dorky clothes, like Rocketman or Spaceship Whatever.

I will say that while I enjoyed it, I am really really tired of the Howard/Raj as faux married couple surrogate, it's just not funny and to me feels very forced, they were better before the writers started doing it.

Yeah, one way in which this show shows its traditional sitcom roots is in its tendency to run running gags into the ground.
Raj not being able to talk to women is funny.
Raj being able to talk to women when he's drunk is funny.
Raj taking a sip of alcohol and being able to talk to women is...not so funny.

Raj acknowledging the inconsistent rules for his inability to talk to women is funny. (to me)
I thought the episode was a bit of a downer. Too much arguing. It had a few funny moments though.

I also thought that Sheldon staring at the Wolowitz doorbell was funny.
When did the Cheesecake Factory turn into a division of Hooters..;)

That was funny!
I was expecting him to ring it three times calling out "Howard" in between. Of course, the problem is, that would have ruined the other joke. It was important to the plot at that moment for Howard to not have heard the doorbell and not to know who rang it (so he thought his mom was hearing things).

This episode was good (I don't recall a "bad" one), but it does fall in the bottom half of the series.

You've forgotten that their inability to connect with women has caused them to form this pseudo-homosexual marriage.

Yeah, but the "reframe the clichés of one relationship in terms of another" joke is a bit worn out. Penny being mothering to Sheldon was cute, but we've seen that joke about four times in the last three episodes, they're pushing it. (HIMYM uses that one a lot too.)

Since Leonard sleeps at Penny's he shouldn't have felt so threatened.
The obvious solution was for the guy to sleep in Leonard's unoccupied bed.
Since the plot problem wasn't real for me....the episode felt phony.

Maybe Sheldon only has to do his knock three times thing when there isn't a doorbell.

Maybe I'm weird but I don't care where I sleep, I don't want some stranger sleeping in my bed.

Generally you could just send your friend across the hall to an empty bed, but we're talking about Sheldon here. I'm surprised he let the guy put his feet on his cushion on the couch. ;)
Was that Andrew W.K. as the friend on the couch?

I'm disappointed that they didn't do more with the Sheldon training Penny plot from an earlier episode. I thought for sure they would have Penny find out and "out smart" Sheldon by doing it to him.
