Not bad! I almost enjoyed the SyMatt stuff this time.

Clair just doesn't get it YET! People around her get killed on a fairly regular basis, and she just wants a normal life. The body count would suggest that such a dream is unlikely at best, and most probably, impossible. I don't blame the roomate (Jennifer?) one bit for leaving.
SyMatt needs to go. Will SyMatt have the healing powers, or just Matts power? If he/it/they have the range of powers, then the bullets will have no reall effect at all.

I really liked the roommate this episode, for the first time. Her reactions seemed very realistic.
I would think Sylar in Matt's body would only have access to Matt's powers. I did like the escalating cat and mouse between the two of them.
I think this show has really gotten back on track. I hope they can take it to a good conclusion, if it really is ending.

Am I the only one who thought...instead of squirting baby powder around aimless to see if anyone was there....sprinkle it all on the ground and wait to see the footprints.
I think its unrealistic for Noah to not have the Haitian sweep the sorority bed-room before he left with Claire when Noah went rummaging around in the closet. As he himself says in the episode, he had a partner just like Rebecca.
And what is Emma's purpose in the Hero universe..boring love interest for Peter?

Yeah, they are really dragging that one out. I thought her story line would pick up some steam this ep with all the screen time but it went nowhere.
I predict when Peter and Emma embrace to kiss, he will cure her deafness. However, she'll be angry that her "crutch", along with her power, will be gone. She'll then leave him for medical school.

Well, squirting it like she did would put a fine dust on the ground. That's what I thought she was doing that for.

I think she was just trying to calm her down. Realistically, what was she going to do? Keep squirting the stuff in the air? It was just to give her the illusion of doing something to protect herself.
(I'm probably reading more into Claire than she deserves, but when she was demonstrating that, she looked a little embarrassed to me!)

Killing Matt/Sylar is the most courageous thing the show has done this season. Bringing him/them back is going to be the biggest disappointment in a long list of disappointments. This is the turning point in this season. If the writers are wending their way to a series finale, and are willing to do the things they've chickened out on, this might be the first step in redemption. I suppose I will stick it out.

While I agree with your larger point, what on Earth makes you say they killed Matt?!? Have we even been watching the same show? The burden of proof for somebody being dead is absurdly high, and we never saw any indication that Matt is dead yet even in real-world terms, much less Heroes terms!

My wife and I were cheering when Matt was shot. No more Matt we cheered!
Then we saw the preview for next week

I'm wondering how Matt doesn't stay out of jail. First he shows up in DC with a bomb strapped to his chest, then gets put on the no fly list for trying to sneak a gun on an airliner, then he kills the tow truck driver (I'll admit that one might be a bit hard to pin on him directly, but someone might connect the dots) then he threatens to kill everyone in the diner.

Easy: he's Matt Parkman.

That's precisely my point: if he's dead, it's courageous, gutsy, the kind of move that this show needs to redeem itself; and when it turns out he's not, it's lame in precisely the way this show can't afford to keep being.
What's even worse is if Matt survives but the Sylar-wedge doesn't, because there's even less explanation for that than for the arbitrary rules of what Claire-blood can cure. Though on the other hand, if Matt survives and the Sylar-wedge doesn't, that means one fewer Sylar we have to watch, and that's good at this point, when we're already haunted by the half-of-Nathan-Sylar and the Sylar-in-the-past Sylar.

"Sylar-wedge", heh.
I'm suddenly reminded of B5 and Sheridan having a piece of Kosh in him. :)

Hate to say it, but this week's show was the breaking point for me. I got halfway through the episode and none of the storylines were really drawing me in. I deleted the episode and killed my season pass.
From reading about what happened in the last half of the episode, and the spoilers about the trailer for next week's episode, it looks like I made the right call. I'm kind of disappointed... but hey, if you guys are enjoying it, I hope it stays fun and likable for you. :)

They screwed up during the last milliseconds of season one - when they showed Sylar's blood on the ground and a roach crawling away. They should have killed Sylar right then and there.

They said they brought him back because the character was so popular.
I agree, they should have left him dead after the first season. but then who would kill Maya's whiney brother?

Good point, just killing that dude is enough to justify it.
