Hi all -- I'm hoping for some help. I just reformatted my PC and now I can't transfer files from the DVRs. Under Server Properties, the DVRs are listed but without IP addresses. The DVRs can't see the files on the computer either.
Also, I tried disabling the firewall but no help. I can access the DVRs using https://<ip-address>.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
(Note: I'm running Windows XP as a virtual machine on my Mac. This was working before I had to rebuild the XP.)

Check the TiVo Server Properties dialog box in Desktop. In the Configuration tab it will list the IP address that Desktop is using. That address has to be on the same network as your DVR. I'm not familiar with Macs, but I run Desktop on VMWare virtual machines on my PC. I always have to set the virtual machine's network to NAT or bridged to make it work. If I use the default private network between the virtual machine and the host it can't see my TiVos even though the https interface still works.

That solved it! The network connection was on Shared, and I changed to Ethernet Bridged and everything now works. I didn't think about checking those settings. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
