Trying to play I-Tunes MP4 files on Tivo

I am trying to play my song from I-Tunes on my Tivo, but Tivo is only recognizing the MP3 files and not the MP4 files.
Is there a way I can play the MP4 audio files on my Tivo?

Yes, convert them to MP3.
I know that is not what you wanted to hear, but the Tivo can only play MP3s.
