I posted this in the Home Features forum, but no one seems to know anything (about this, anyway), so I thought I'd post it over here. Again, thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

First-time poster, long-time lurker!

Just recently purchased a TiVo HD after 3 years of not having one (used to have two but divorce happened....don't ask), and I also upgraded the Desktop to Plus. All is good, but I had a question that I've yet to see anywhere:

How long does it take for videos "published" in Desktop to finally transfer to the TiVo? And, is there any order in which it transfers them? At least when you publish music, they're all available right away (though they are streaming instead of "saved").

I have several folders to be transferred (with KAM being 10, even for those only 2 vid files in them). But, for instance, I have the first two seasons of Oz as 16 AVIs in one folder, but there are still 3-4 that've yet to transfer (in no obvious order either) even after long deleting the eps/files I've already viewed. But I have other published folders underneath that get transferred, even though it hasn't finished completely transferring the first couple of folders I originally published.

Does anyone know if there's a way to prioritize what gets transferred first, without removing the subsequent folders until the first ones have finished transferring? And, why does my blue light go out at sometimes (as if it's not transferring) when I KNOW there's plenty of things that still need to be moved over?

I know I've said a mouthful for my first post, but these questions have been killin' me since I've had this sucker. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I know nothing about the TD Plus features.

I'm suprised no one has suggested you try PyTivo yet. :p

Files are transferred according to when the file was created. Oldest file is transferred first. This can be a problem if the files are episodes of a program acquired as a series via bit torrent where the episodes finish downloading randomly.
My trick to get 14 episodes into a single folder on my Tivo when it will only transfer 10 is to delete 4 of them from the now playing list and let the last four automatically transfer and then recover the deleted recordings from the RDF.
My trick to get files to transfer when they won't transfer for some reason is to go into the folder and rename the files, usually just by adding a period / dot to the end and that usually works. You may want to check your recording history to see why the files weren't transferred in the first place.

There are bugs in Desktop 2.7 when it comes to transfering from PC to TIVO. You can look up some older posts but the work arounds are tedious. I finally went with Streambaby for transfers from PC to TIVO but still use Desktop 2.7 for transfers from TIVO to PC. There is also a bug where Desktop sometimes uses up all of your CPU time, a very serious problem. So I keep it turned off except when I want to use it. I keep wondering when TIVO will come out with a new version that works.
