Hopefully this is the right place to ask my question(s). Tivo recordings don't seem to use the OAD? Why not? Reason I'm asking is because I have several programs that I have had to set up wishlists for and make them exclude episodes with certain words in them because the SP seems to want to record the First Run Only I want plus a bunch of repeats also. Thing is, when I look through my To DO list and have to delete the repeats I check the OAD and it's from months ago and sometimes a year or so ago. It mostly seems to happen on Mtv.
Does Tivo record using the OAD? If not, why not? Seems like it would record on the actual OAD for FRO shows and noting else if it did use it.

First run specifcially uses OAD (if the guide data is complete). That's how it works. Off the top of my head tivo considers an episode a first run if the OAD is withing 7 days.

If the guide data is incomplete than things like that happen. Frequently "cable" channels have such crappy data. Does the episode information give specifics for the shows in question or are there generic descriptors there?

Are you sure? Others have said it was 14 days, and that the 28 day rule is regarding how soon something will record if you enable it to record duplicates.. (i.e. 28 days after you delete an existing copy of the show).
