I recently dumped ATT Uverse and the Over the Air Broadcast in my area stinks. Is it possible to download free shows from abc.com and other networks thought Tivo???

Not through abc.com. Generally, the video download services that TiVo supports are subscription services themselves (Netflix, Blockbuster) or pay per view services (Amazon), or freebies from YouTube or selected other sources -- not generally current-day prime time programming.

There are hopes that perhaps Hulu will someday be available, or perhaps even some of the networks' own websites, however, I suspect by the time Hulu is available on TiVo, Hulu will also be a subscription service, itself.

Running a cable from your computer to your tv is the best solution.

A poster in a recent thread provided a link to a netop computer that does the job. The newer units have a HDMI port. Get a wireless keyboard.
