Strange recording behavior

I often fall asleep with the TV on, and I also wake up very early for work. Several times, I've noticed the red record light on, but there is nothing I've scheduled to record. When I hit info to see what's being recorded on the other tuner, I usually find some random infomercial there. However, when I return home or check it later, that infomercial isn't on my now playing list.

I don't know what's going on. I don't think anyone is hacking my TiVo from afar, but I don't have any explanations for this behavior. It doesn't alter my viewing ability, but it is troublesome.

Any input would be appreciated.

Most likely it's the "Teleworld Paid Program" being recorded. The TiVo cuts up the segments from that show to populate the short videos in the Showcases menu.

The segments go into a specially reserved partition of the hard drive, and it will only record when there's no scheduled recording or suggestion to record otherwise. No harm in letting it continue to do so (and it's not worth the hassle to prevent it).
