Wow, next week is the fall finale already? :(

I was really hoping they would continue with the different cover versions of the opening theme. When the "film" started melting at the beginning I figured they would do it again, but no joy.

I think this is the third episode in a row Shawn has used the "I've heard it both ways" line, this time about "thrice" meaning half-price. :D

The plot seemed a little complicated just to frame someone for murder, but as Henry said when Shawn told him they were working on a case the likes of which they've never seen: "That's every week, Shawn."

Anyone else notice that Henry's nemesis competing for the truck was Biff from "Back to the Future?"

Solid episode, but I prefer the ones that stay away from the supernatural. I don't like the ghosts, werewolves, demonic possession, etc.

I did like Henry trying to win the truck, though I fully expected the guy to just give some money to the nun and kids and they'd walk off - I didn't believe him at all.

These.

I love this show.

Of course. Did you notice the psychiatrist was played by David Naughton?

Yeah, though it took a while to recognize him (I don't think that was his real hair).

Dang, he got old! I don't think I've seen him since AWiL, so he'll always be that kid in my mind. Or at least the Dr Pepper roller skate boy.

Well, they need a Halloween show of some sort in October.

Totally missed that reference! Doh!

I was totally waiting for that too.

I don't watch this show that often, but I liked this episode.

I totally thought the nun and kids were a scam.

This was the second recent episode that fixated on a woman's nice buns.

Was that Estelle Parsons as the 'old bird' receptionist?

We have a tour of August: Osage County coming into town soon and the commercial with her sounds and looks just like the woman from the show.

As always, I loved it.

I was totally expecting some sort of Back to the Future joke.

If you mean the Estelle Parsons that played Rosanne's mother, I can't imagine how anyone could see a resemblance.

Here's what Estelle looks like now in August: Osage County and she speaks with a Texas accent in the commercial.
The Dr's receptionist was a close match I thought.

There's no way that's Estelle Parsons in that poster.

This is her, though. And she looks nothing like that receptionist IMO:

I found that the original lead of August: Osage County was Deanna Dunagan and she's the woman in the poster I showed. She's also featured in the commercial airing in Portland for the upcoming performances, even though Estelle is playing the role. I also found on the Psych site that Myrtle was played by Deanna Dunagan.

But only the first set was truly worth remarking about.

What? That woman from the singing group episode had a serious butt.

All they would have had to do is have the vehicle be something like that Jeep, too.

Totally missed that reference! Doh!
There was a scene in the car with some exaggerated pantomime that I thought must have been an allusion to something in a werewolf movie because it was otherwise inexplicably off tone. Anyone know what?

The receptionist is a Tony award winning actress.

Yup. It was the commercial that they showed for the play here which said Estelle was in it, but used Deanna's image that threw me. I just figgered she had work done. I mean why would anyone want to go around looking like Estelle Parsons!:p

Hey, wait a minute. When she was a young woman...
