Trading Tivos

I have two tivos one lifetime one MUD both are single turners. My parents have two tivos one lifetime-single tuner and one MUD-dual tuner. Can we trade tivos? I would like to trade my single tuner lifetime unit for their dual tuner MUD. Or would trading my MUD be better. Also, how would the TIVO accounts be changed?

Lifetime subs stick to the particular box. Others don't.

It's not any different than if you were to sell your lifetime unit to someone and then call TiVo to transfer the service.
