I saw a commercial for ABC's new show "V". In the clip it shows the actress who plays Julette on LOST as one of its main characters. This might be a hint as to what may happen next season. There aren't many actors that star in two different shows during prime time.

I've heard she'll still be a part of LOST....even if not, V will be canceled faster than you can say LOST and she would probably go back to LOST full time anyway.
:)
Well, you also have Penny and Charlie in Flashforward who will like appear in at least a few flashforwards or flashbacks on Lost......

This next season of LOST is the last anyways, so I'm not all that shocked to see main characters start appearing in other roles.

V filmed the first 5 episodes, the first 4 of which will air. They're taking a longish break (both in production and airing), bringing it back after the olympics...
* Never make assumptions for one show based on casting of another show
* Never make assumptions when it comes to Lost
* Never bet against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line
Given some of the rumors revolving around Lost, they're pulling out stops and pulling off some amazing things for the final season. Juliet (notice one t, there's only one t in that name, always has been) may or may not be in the final season of Lost, no matter what happens with V.

They've stretched the story far too thin already, and I've loved every minute of it. Here's hoping for a perfect finale season.

I wouldn't say that, but I will say that Season 3 before they knew when their end date was with ABC was not one of their best. It really seemed that once they were given that finale schedule, they were able to properly work around it, seasons 4 and 5 have been pretty amazing..

Yeah but the biggest rumor of all is that there will be not one, but TWO "big bads". Yup, Nikki & Paolo.

I can't wait for this season to start, but it is sad to know the best show on TV is coming to an end. At least I can then watch them all from beginning to end in a gigantic marathon to enjoy it once again in uninterrupted awesomeness. I can't wait to see it again from the beginning to see how they really did know what was going to happen from the very start.

Might as well ask here - anyone have a giant exclamation point near their entry in iTunes for the LOST podcast? iTunes says it can't find the network location.

Interesting, up until a week or so ago, mine didn't say it couldn't find the site, it was just giving the "hey there hasn't been a new podcast here in 6 months, are you sure you still want to subscribe" error.
I just checked, and now it says it can't find the location. Hopefully they'll fix it, but there's still 3 months to do so. :)

Lost has a big cast. Not every character/actor is in every episode. There aren't that many episodes left. No question Elizabeth Mitchell can be in V (4 episodes were filmed) and in at least some episodes of Lost. We know this is the last season of Lost (sorry I see no reason to spoilerize this fact). Makes sense that some of the cast is looking for work and may look for a way to do both. I'm suspect the scripts have been completed and an actor can film their parts in multiple episodes during one trip to Hawaii.
Most of Lost is still filmed in Hawaii. There are internet sites that report which actors who were previously on Lost have been seen flying to Hawaii and don't appear to be on vacation.

Mine too. I've been working my way through Seasons 1-4 this Fall, and just finished last weekend.
So, how to make Season 5 last for eight weeks?!?

I tried watching a few episodes of that show, couldn't ever make it through one episode. Doesn't help that I think football is a colossal waste of time.

I'm actually GLAD that it's the final season.
Don't get me wrong. I love the show, but this gives it direction and, finally, we'll get some answers. As much as we think we'd love it, the writers can't string us along forever.
This way, it becomes a great memory and not a thread called "Has LOST jumped the shark?" !!

+++1 After this season I'll wait for the super special edition of the entire Lost series on Bluray and will buy it and watch 2 or 3 episodes a week. I have forgotten as much as I remember so it should be quite enjoyable rewatching the entire series over a few months seeing it all come together.
Is Lost the best TV show ever? It is definitely up there for me, especially in my favorite category, science fiction. I also loved X Files which kind of laid the ground work for a show like Lost.

There are many awesome final season trailers. One is done by Cuatro, which is the channel that runs Lost in Spain (channel 4, I assume). Another is done by a fan, and you can find a link to it on Damon Lindeloff's Twitter page.
Very much looking forward to the final season. We will make time to watch even though my wife is due with our first child 4 days after the Season Premiere.

I just watched it... gave me goose bumps! Of course, it's easy to make a trailer, harder to make a season of TV... :)
I like how the trailer ties in to the ending of last season though, which made it seem as if this whole thing has been a game between Jacob and... well, "not John Locke", "not Jacob" or whatever we called him. :)

But X-Files not only failed to hold up over time, it eventually became a flat-out bad show. Lost has managed to sustain (and I still argue that on re-viewing, it has never had any slumps; what people perceived as slumps were just periods when the importance of what we were seeing wasn't immediately apparent).

I'm in the same boat. I tend to forget way too much, especially between seasons. It'll be a lot of fun to watch everything all over again, if I can find the time. I have so many other shows I'd like to watch on DVD, but I never get around to it. There's always something new that catches my eye.

You do know that it's just a montage of clips from previous seasons, right? There is no info from upcoming seasons in the traliers. Damon and Carlton have strictly forbidden ABC from even releasing a single frame from the upcoming season in promos or trailers.

Which tells me we could be seeing some people we wouldn't normally expect to see..
Though with Lost, it's easy to explain why anyone is there, with the flashbacks, forwards, etc.

This is one of my favorite fan-made trailers. Part of a series done this summer by sl-LOST.com called "In Preparation for Season 6". Not about season 6 specifically.
