I thought this was a great episode. Lots of scenes with Ron which I liked, his deadpan delivery and persona is hilarious.
And we found out what the deal is with Tom's marriage! I wonder if that will get out.
Rontanomo: "I've established a scientifically perfect, ten-point scale of human beauty. Wendy is a 7.4, which is way too high for Tom, who is a 3.8. 10 is tennis legend Steffi Graf.' :)
I knew something was up with Tom's wife. He always hits on her just like all the other girls he meets.
Wonder if the female cast got a new makeup artist: Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones both looked great.

Reminded me of every time I was "drunk dialed" late at night by some girl when I was younger, (which, interestingly enough, happened to me fairly often, long ago). I must confess I never had a girl "drunk-show-up-at-my-door" though...
Funny episode!

"Just good ol fashioned, showin' up drunk at a guy's house late at night," Leslie.
Hilarious!!

Great episode. I think this show has improved greatly so far this season.

I laughed a lot at this episode. I agree that the show has improved a lot.
I find it hard to believe that anyone would consider Steffi Graf to be some kind of ultimate beauty, but maybe that was the point, because it was funny. And I'm glad we have the backstory on the "why did she marry Tom" question.
I haven't liked Louis CK much when I've seen him before, but I think he's really doing a good job in this role, as the cute-but-sort-of-clueless cop.

Finally this show is becoming a program worth watching. They continue to tweak it and the writing continues to improve. I was really on the fence with this show, but that last episode gave them a few more weeks off the season pass chopping block. Plus, Rashida Jones is sooo hot.

This episode was good. I liked that the cop told her that it was going to be their second date so she wouldn't be so nervous. Just like how he learned the names of the photos on her wall to try and impress her. That was just cool.
And we find out that Ron was married twice, both times to a woman named Tammy. Which also just happens to be his mother's name :D I thought they should have used another Tammy as the '10' instead of Steffi Graf to make it even funnier.

That's a shame, because he's one of the best stand-ups of all time. He's also one of the most ripped off comedians too. Carlos Mencia, Dane Cook and many other more "famous" comedians routinely steal his jokes. But to each his own. My wife doesn't like him either. I'm just glad that he's still working and contributing his comic genius to something.

Ok. So I started watching this show with S2 and have been enjoying it. Should I skip S1? Is it much worse?

I liked S1. It's got some funny stuff in it and it's only 6 episodes so no reason not to watch.

I think P&R has been just as funny - if not more so - than The Office (except for the wedding ep last week - that is one of the funniest things I've seen in my life) this season. It has really hit its stride.

Agreed-P&R is hysterical. Tom and Ron are great characters.

Wow, did you just refer to Louis CK as cute? I think he would be blown away by this!
(If you have ever seen his stand-up he is very self-deprecating). He also had an HBO show for one season I think called Lucky Louie that I thought was hilarious...

That's a good one. It also helps put things in perspective.

A major difference to me between S1 and S2 has been the storyline of "the pit" and turning it into a park. That was featured heavily in S1, but not so much anymore. I think that has turned P & R into a different show.

My favorite line was something along the lines of..
"During one date, I drank a whole bottle of vinegar.. I just thought it was really bad wine.."

I watched again this weekend with my girlfriend who hadn't seen it yet. I completely forgot about "Whizz Palace", which was the funniest moment in the entire episode.

Agreed. Very funny.
...and The Office is using toilet humor more and more.
