Russell really lost my respect this episode, flipping his vote like that. He's not a leader anymore. Now he's a follower.
I'm happy that they didn't target Shambow. :)
So did Jeff take a day off? What was up with the unofficiated challenge?

He talks about that in his blog this week (sorry, don't have a link handy). Just a little social experiment.
I'm happy that they got rid of Yasmine, although I'm not positive it was a good idea. She didn't work around camp, but she was far from the weakest in physical challenges.

I'm also disappointed that the (lack of a) tarp wasn't brought up by the purple team when it was pouring rain.

I like how Russell still claims to be runing things and says whoever he wants to go will go - completely ignoring the fact that he wanted to keep Ben last week and lost.
Thought it was dumb of the show to hide the idol in the same place on both camps knowing that the people with the clues to the other beach would then also have the clues to their beach. Even dumber of Shambo to not realize this and try to find it. And dumbest yet of her to give the clues to the others thinking it will get them to like her and save her.

I liked the unofficiated challenge and wondered how long it would take one of them to go for chickens. And to see that they played by the rules was interesting. I was on the fence about Yasmine leaving. I think if she had exerted herself just a little bit at camp it would have been a different outcome.

It was more of a game play like the other Russell the week before, he knew she didn't have the votes, might as well not bump heads.

Exactly, Russel knew he didn't have the votes so he had to switch up. I call that good strategy.
I agree....I thought Shambo had already killed that 1 chicken!

I'm sure Yasmine was also pretty annoying at camp. They rarely show they're camp but in the little time she was at the other camp she was pretty obnoxious.

Once it was shown as 6-2 either Russell or Shambo had to have switched their vote. At first I was sure that Russell would have stuck by Yasmine, and was going to give props to Shambo for figuring out that the vote wasn't going that way and not go against the majority, but when it was revealed that it was Russell who switched, it made a lot more sense. What ever was I thinking....that Shambo would have that much sense to do that?

"I didn't know chickens could fly".
Well they're not exactly migratory but they can certainly get up in a tree. She must have had them confused with penguins. :D
If they had quit chasing it, it would have just hung around the cage with the others and laid its eggs there. Chickens don't roam off if you feed them and there are other chickens to keep them company.

Her quote about why she wasn't doing any work sure came back to bite her. Doing nothing because you're afraid if you actually do get up off of your ass and do something someone is going to cut your throat for doing it wrong?? Nice try.

You didn't have to wait that long to see who it was. They showed Shambo writing down Monica's name.

My wife said, "I didn't know chickens could climb trees." I said, "It didn't, it flew." She died laughing because she couldn't believe she didn't think of that.
I wonder what would have happened if at the "reward" challenge, one team simply took the chicken cage and left without playing for it.
I was glad to see Yasmine go. She was super annoying. I thought it was hilarious when she shared her philosophy of "As long as I don't do anything around camp, nobody can blame me for screwing anything up." And then at tribal she tries to claim that she did everything anyone asked her to do and that if they wanted her to do more stuff, they should have asked her. Good riddance.
I loved when Yasmine and Kelly were sitting on the beach and Kelly was peeling the coconut. As Kelly puts it up to her mouth to drink the milk, Yasmine says, "Is there any milk" and Kelly shakes her head no as she's drinking the milk!

I think every year someone says this at about this point into a new season. This year they have barely have spent any time with one of the tribes because the other tribe kept losing.
For the record, I'm rooting for the girl in the Yellow leggings. I have no idea what her name is but she sure looked good last night. :D

yay! for keeping the eye candy around for a few more rounds! Shambo is a goof, first the snorkel gear and now the chickens. Don't let her make fire, she'll probably drop the flint in the flames.

I thought it was hilarious that Russell seemed to think that being tribe leader meant he got to decide who got sent home. He was acting like it was a major act of defiance for people to not be voting for who he said because he was the leader. :p

unlike you, when I start lusting after someone, I try to remember her name...Natalie, btw :p
I was also floored about how Russell thought he was King and got to decide who gets voted out !
strange how we've spent all the past episodes at the other camp and there is still someone from that tribe who it seems I've only noticed now...the asian girl...has she been on the screen for longer than 5 seconds so far?

Ben was right about one thing: yasmin's grammar is atrocious.
And he wants her. I can't help but think Ben and Yasmin on a subconcious level really like, want and are attracted to each other, but it is as if they know they can "never" be together so they make sure they put up the walls of ignorance and stereotypes to make sure it never does happen. I am serious. Alright, Ben wanted her just for sex, at least it seemed from the shot of him checking her out after their "discussion". I think if they could get by there childish, surface crap, they would actually make a good couple or rather maybe they are meant for each other. :D
Ok, edited again, so besided putting duck tape over her mouth, I wanted Yasmin.. :D:D granted I have little patience for unintelligent women and can't stand "dumb blondes" or bimbos, but she was very attractive even with the seeming lack of intelligence. I don't think she is stupid or unintelligent really, I think the environment she grew up in afforded her the ability to be less than.
Last nights episode was actually enjoyable and I enjoy the two challenges way more than 1.
The women all looked good last night especially Kelly. ;)

What is worse than forgetting the name of someone one is lusting after, is forgetting the name of one you have been with before and are with them again, them who? Haha yikes.!!
Several of the purple tribe are virtually anonymous, but you are right the asian girl was a bit more prominent the first night, then when I seen a glimpse of her last night I was surprised and saying to myself I had forgotten about her.

Man I love Jeff's blog. Great stuff!
And he brings up the fact that they've focussed on one tribe so far:
INSIGHT: You’ve been screaming at me for weeks that our episodes have been focusing too much on Foa Foa and not enough on Galu. I totally get it. Let me explain why that has been happening. After a tribal council we always follow the story of the losing tribe because they are the ones going to tribal council and ultimately the climax of the show centers around the question, “Who will be voted out?” So since Galu had not yet lost we didn’t have the chance to get to know them. Now we do.

Asian girl is named Liz. She was featured quite a bit in earlier episodes.

And he brings up the fact that they've focussed on one tribe so far:
His explanation is only part of the story. What he fails to acknowledge is that even before one tribe loses the Immunity Challenge, the story spends more time following the tribe that will eventually lose, because we need to see what will eventually cause them to target the player that will be voted out. It's usually fairly obvious before the IC starts who is going to win, just based on what they have shown from the different tribes. Which is why I was totally surprised in this episode when the editing made it totally obvious that Galu was finally going to lose, but then had a huge lead in the IC. I can't believe that Galu had half their blocks stacked before Foa Foa even got their bags untied, yet Foa Foa was able to build their tower faster. I wonder if Galu's tower fell over and they had to restart, yet it wasn't shown.

meh...that's been my yearly complaint about Survivor...you always know which tribe is going to lose the immunity challenge...and you pretty much always know who is getting voted out (they get the most screen time)...even when the vote might be close, you can still tell most of the time...it takes away a ton of suspense...

I missed the first episode so I didn't get to see the introductions. This last episode is the first time I'd even seen the Asian gal. And that's pretty bad, since I always notice Asian gals. I was watching Law & Order the other night and found out it was actually called "yellow fever". :D

She provides him comic relief much like Gomer Pyle. Her train of thought on giving away the secret clue to the immunity idol to people who didn't give two cents about her a moment before was classic.
I too believe from Jeff's blog that Shambo will be around awhile, more from her perceived weakness that her camp-mates think they can control than any pre-meditated gameplay.
