View Full Version : Tivo shut off after upgrade

After replacing a bad drive, that night the Tivo shut off at 2:00am and said it was updating when it turned back on and that it would take aprrox 1 hour. It has never done this before with the original drive. Is this normal?

Yes. 2am is the normal reboot time when the Tivo gets a software update.

I'm surprised that you got the update the same night you replaced the drive.
Did you force calls to the Tivo service?

I just went through a drive replacement (twice) and it downloaded the update on the first shot.

I'm still having reboot problems - maybe I'll start another thread but I'm about to drop-kick my S3 out the window :mad:

Perhaps the new drive is just obstinate and won't cooperate? Grrrrrr.
