New series starting Thursday 10/22, I'll be watching :D
I will not be watching. I just do not find his stand-up act funny at all (no offense - I know he is popular, I know a few people who like him. Although, these are the same people that think the Blue Collar comedy guys are hilarious, so just saying). I find ventriloquism to be the hackiest form of comedy ever. And it's not just the ventriloquism aspect - I just don't find his jokes that funny.
Am I the only person who is amazed that he was given a show? An unfunny version of crank yankers that I could watch with my Grandmother because it so unoffensive and clean is what I am envisioning for this show (seriously this guys stand-up act makes Jay Leno seem edgy).

Agree completely, this guy is terrible! But you don't have to be funny to get a Comedy Central show these days. See: Daniel Tosh, Carlos Mencia, Demitri Martin, et. al.

We've seen him live a couple times and enjoyed the show, but it seems like he's too much of a one trick pony to keep up the interest. I don't go looking for his shows on TV, that's for sure.

I found out about it when I was surfing thru epguides.com. My favorite is Achmed, he's hysterical!

While I like his act, I don't get all the love for Achmed. I find that one of his less funnier bits.

Tell us how you really feel about him. Don't hold back now. :)
Walter is my favorite. ;)
Walter is ok but Peanut is awesome. I like Achmed as well. The "I keel you" line gets a lot of play in my household.
The thing with this guy is he is not a good ventriloguist. You can constantly see his mouth moving through his entire show. I do think his standup is funny though. I'm looking forward to his show although I don't have much faith in it being very good. It's something I can watch with the kids which is nice. Not much stuff I watch is kid-friendly.

You wanna know a secret? Even though Jeff looks surprised and cracks up at what the little guys say,....
...he actually knew what they were going to say!
(It was right there in the script)

I agree.
Again, nothing against those who find him funny-I know many who do, but it's just not my thing. And I find a couple of the Blue Collar guys funny, as well, but not this guy.
I've just never been impressed. At all.
Good luck to him, though.
