Since when have you clicked on something on TiVo for more information and not watched a video?

It amazes me that I can log on to TiVo's website and see all the information I want about the Blackberry app, but when it comes up on the TiVo Central page all you can do is request an email for more information. To add insult to injury, the message says you will receive an email in "ABUT" 2 to 3 weeks!

Forgive me, but when I am looking for more information I want it now, not in three weeks. Give me a break TiVo, I expect more and at least better than this.

And your programmer needs a slap on the wrist for making you look stupid by not proofing the page before it went live... "Thank you for your request. You will receive an email update from TiVo in abut 2-3 weeks." Not cool.

Forgive me, but when I am looking for more information I want it now, not in three weeks. You should call them. There is an awful of reasons why companies have stepped back from providing timely electronic communications quickly. If you want immediacy, pick up the telephone.

Also, be prepared to be turned down or put off with regard to inquiries for products and services that they're not charging extra for. That's the reality of the service industry in our country these days. There is no promise that the companies we do business with will place what any one of us wants at as high of a priority as we might want them to.

ironically if you had opened the thread titled "TiVo and Blackberry" you would get the info you want.

It wasn't that I needed it quickly, I've been using a computer long enough to know where to look... but I've also been using TiVo for nearly as many years and I am (a) used to them providing info in their video clips and (b) generally amazed that they think an email in 2-3 weeks is anything close to acceptable.

Besides, if it's important enough to them to put it on the Central page, you would think that would indicate they wanted you to know more about it. And if I have to go online to find out about a TiVo feature then I might as well start watching TV on my computer as well. No need for the TiVo after all

Bear in mind that this a partnership deal and TiVo is likely not the one authoring the contents of the email. I also doubt either Tivo or Blackberry saw this as big enough to spend bucks on making a video about it. I can see being upset if the tag said - important info about your account, and then email in 2 to 3 weeks. This however is an ad for a new feature from a partner of TiVo. The 2-3 week email is pretty stock statement in such dealings and really the whole thing will not fall apart in the intervening 2-3 weeks.
So of course we would all agree that if it had a link "Click here to download to your BB" that would be ideal :) but this is a new feature that is rolling out and all the central ad was about was to raise awareness of a BlackBerry feature.
