Solid Psych. Liked it a lot. Yet another alternate theme intro. Made me search out the others for comparison.

I read that they're performing to Motown Philly in that video at the funeral, but they couldn't clear the rights in time.

This episode cracked me up. Dule Hill did a very good job of acting. This may be heresy but I think this ep would have been even better with less Shawn.

One thing I thought was how Shawn was not his usual annoying self until the very end when he got the group to vote. I don't know if Gus is very patient or co-dependent, but I wouldn't put up with Shawn for long.

I did like the episode though.

Those things are just a passing fad, like rap music, Madonna, and L.A. Law.

Cheap/easy joke, but I laughed.

Yeah, I caught that one too....made me laugh and miss Corbin's hair from LA Law. But then, I miss my hair as well.

It reminded me how well Weeds did the alternative theme music in the first few seasons. Little houses!

I wasn't the only one checking out Chelsea's posterior. Shazam!

They even joked about that in this episode, when Shawn was talking about being afraid Gus would leave him.

I thought Keenan was very funny in his role.

Not real thrilled with how mean Jules was to Shawn, though.

Yeah, that seemed a little abrupt. Lassiter was a bit harsh, even for him, but Jules seemed a bit out of character. Maybe the episodes were aired out of order and in one of the next ones we'll see what got her so ticked at Shawn?

James Roday was one of the writers for this episode. That could be a normal thing for all I know. I thought I'd check out the writing and directing credits since this was a Shawn-lite episode. It could have been a Shawn-less episode and still would have worked.

The Gus/Lassiter confrontation was a shock. Jules and Lassiter tried to explain it by saying they wanted to keep the Tony Todd character undercover but it did seem pretty harsh by this show's standards. Maybe this will be one of those one time only things like when Chief Vick practically bit Jules' head off in one episode when Jules tried to be friends to her.

Yes, Jules and Lassie were totally out of character for this episode. Especially with Lassie's line "Your not a cop". It just seemed harsh, especially considering it seems Psych solves more cases than Lassie/Jules do, at least the bigger variety.

My wife and I both thought that sounded like Boyz II Men, good to know we were right.

Shawn's singing was hilarious. We liked this episode a lot.

I'm always happy when a Commodore 64 makes an appearance.
