Ken Burn's new 12 hour high-definition miniseries "The National Parks: America's Best Idea" starts on Sunday, Sept. 27. My local PBS station must love it because they are broadcasting each episode in the series 6 times. I tried to set up a season pass to pick up all the episodes, but Tivo got confused and tried to record six copies of the same episode. I had to set up recordings for each episode in the series individually.

I saw this advertised and set up a SP
My station is also running it 6 times each, but my Tivo figured it out and is recording it correctly.

This looks to be very good

I'm not a huge Ken Burns fan, but to me, this looks like the best TV show on any network this fall.

I set it up as a Season Pass with only new episodes and my ToDo list looks correct.

heck, it'll probably be rerun way more than 6 times, over the next year.. and will presumably end up on DVD quickly.

Just set my SP and it even though there are multiple showings of each ep, my to do list shows only 1 of each being recorded. When you set your SP did you change the default recording options to capture first runs only?

My local PBS station repeats all the prime-time broadcasts after midnight. I presume this is mostly for people whose DVRs were too busy during the original broadcast.
