I had a fully functioning Series 2 DT stand alone TiVo that was connected to Dish network to just watch 2 international channels and record if needed.
I upgraded to 1 TB WD-EVVS drive using winMFS and successfully installed it using SATA-PATA adapter. It has powered up and displays the 2 channels.
If I hit the guide button and it brings up the 2 channels and displays the current one on top (say channel X at 7-7.30 PM showing Soap1). When I press the down button to go to other channel in the guide and press the right button (channel Y at 7-7.30 PM showing Soap2) and hit Select it previously used to change the channel to that program. Now after the upgrade, I get a menu option asking me if I wanted to record that program or if I wanted to cancel. If I choose cancel, it does not change the channel and stays at the original channel. The only way to change channel now is to exit from guide and push the channel up/down button. I have played with various settings in the setup but it has not helped. Neither has 2 reboots.
Does this sort of thing occur after a hard drive upgrade? Any suggestions?
Thanks
