View Full Version : Lost color...time for a new TiVo...???

Searched the forum and found similar issues but I have gone through all sorts of connections and cables...no color...!!!
If I unplug the TiVo S2 DVR from power, wait a few seconds and replug it...voilá...color for a few hours, then gone.
Please help me...any fix...or should I just give up?

Have you checked the internal temp from the System Information screen when it goes out? You could have a bad fan, blocked air circulation or just a bunch of dust clogging things up and causing it to overheat.

Unfortunately, this is a relatively common problem with the Series 2 Tivo.
My recommendation would be to check Craigslist -- there are tons of S2 boxes for sale for not a lot of money.
