...on my TiVo Series 3.
Ever since the TiVo started downloading HD versions of the video podcasts I subscribe to with it (which I generally appreciate), Rocketboom has suffered with it being cropped to 4:3. And not the usual cropping getting only the middle of the frame. It's cropping off the right side only, leaving me with only the left part of the frame. Episodes end with the host name "www.rocketboonr" (where nr is joined as a partially cropped m), and the recent episode "Molly and Tangible Digital Art" started with "rocket boo".
Sometimes the feed gives me the same episode three or four times in a row, such as the balcony performer episode, also with interview subjects almost completely cropped out, and I suspect many missed episodes.
Then there's a recurring problem where I have to pause and wait for the video to appear else I get a black screen and audio only. And sometimes it will finish and I can't see the menus anymore until I turn off the display and turn it back on again. (The TiVo remote never seemed to reliably signal my display to power off, and the button backlight eats batteries so much I have to frequently replace the rechargeables.)
Ah well. At least there's still iTunes.
