New Tivo HD Video Problems

I have a Vizio 42" TV that supports all formats but for some reason, the Tivo only displays correctly in 480i/480p. If I try any other Video Output mode, I get a picture but the top, bottom, left and right is cut off. I can not even hardly see the top banner. If I hit Info on my TV remote, it says it is trying to use the same resolution Tivo is outputting.


I've checked the Tivo Aspect Ratio, TV zoom, etc and they all seem fine.

Am I missing something?

What kind of connection are you using between TiVo and TV? Composite only puts out 480i.

You have selected 16:9 aspect TV in the TiVo setup, correct?

Have you tried the aspect button on the remote control? This will only have an effect if your program is not HD, at least I know this is the case if you have correctly selected 16:9 aspect for the TV.

If you have the TiVo set up correctly, and are not using composite output, the problem has to be something set wrong in the TV menu.
