In another thread I discussed an old S2 single tuner Tivo I had that died. Even though it has lifetime on it I cannot be sure if the hard drive, PS, or Motherboard died. I decided to give the Comcast Tivo a chance and save the up front hardware cost. I live north of Boston and figured that Comcast should have gotten the bugs out by now. I guess I was wrong. The tech was here for 4 hours trying everything he and tech support could try. They tried two boxes, added an amp changed wires. All to no end. Every time they tried to download the software they would get errors. They ended up leaving with no ideas other then someone will call me. Apparently there are still bugs in this system. I am now leaning back to another Tivo. Is there anyone else in the Boston area who has gone thru this recently and if so was Comcast able to correct the problem?
