I'm very excited. In addition to loving Survivor, my father in law spent some time living in Samoa and has shared a lot of the local culture and customs, so I know more about this location than any of the previous spots.

I watched the trailer with the sound off (at work). I'm guessing by "biggest" they mean some King-Kong looking dude or something and not an indication of how devious or something like that they would be.

Probst also described the "villian" in the linked article as "one of the most notorious." So, while you could be right, I think they're describing actions rather than size.

I'd rather know NOTHING about these contestants going into the show than either CBS telling us about this and that contestent, or Jeff babbling on about them. This way I can have no pre-conceived, network enhanced, notions about anyone, and decide who I like and who I don't. Of course once the show starts, I'm at the mercy of CBS' editing anyway.

I think at some point we need to keep down the name calling. We don't even know who these people are yet, but you drag out the biggest and nastiest things you can think of to call these people. Some of that was funny, but the rascist stuff is just uncalled for. And how do you know what they drive? You just assume they drive fuel wasting cars from the way they look?

I guess I shouldn't expect much. Heck, even the grammer was off.

Previously I have used individual season passes, so I know what I'll be getting, but with that approach there is always the risk that I'll mess up and miss the start of a new season.

The only way to not have to enter a new season pass is to make an ARWL. You may catch things other than just the episodes depending on how you set it up.

Speaking of the villain, why does CBS have to advertise this? Wouldn't you all rather watch the show and form your own opinions? I don't remember it ever being as bad advertising what WILL happen over and over again. One of two things can happen. Either the guy is WAY over the top bad, or we are all going to go WTF, why did they paint this guy that bad? This trend drives me crazy. What's even worse are the shows that give promote what will happen DURING THE NEXT SEGEMENT DURING THE SHOW!! Hopefully that won't happen with Survivor.

I had a wishlist set up for SURVIVOR (-WILD so I wouldn't get Survivorman) with category Action/Adventure...which caught the last season just fine. But I happened to check yesterday and the first ep wasn't set to record! Next week's ep was set just fine, but not the Premiere! :confused:

I think I got the specific wishlist terms from some thread on here, so thought others might have the same issue. If not, well then just consider this a friendly reminder that Survivor starts tonight! :)
