replacing bad hard drive.

I have a Samsung SIR-s4120R. I believe the hard drive has gone bad. How do I replace the hard drive?(I mean software wise. I know how to remove and replace the drive) I don't have a good drive to copy from. Thanks.

You want Instantcake then. the file you get is an ISO you burn to CDR. It has on it the Linux boot, mfstools, a custom script, and the TiVo image.
