Good TiVo "boop" sometimes when I switch channels

Hello,

Sometimes when switching channels I hear the TiVo boop sound. Not the "negative" one like I hit an incorrect key but the one that represents a completed command.

Any ideas why this would happen?

Is it still doing it after a restart (menu: Restart TiVo Digital Media Recorder)?

I'm guessing you're using a universal remote? Probably some macro?

I have rebooted it and we shall see. I have not watched much tv since I posted this.

The TiVo in question is a TiVo HD xl and the remote is the lighted one that came with the TiVo.

Could mean your batteries are low; "repeated" buttons are my first indication of the need to change them.

Gets VERY annoying when playing games. :)
