Is it true that they are stopping the EPG at the end of the year?

The answer is clearly no, unless you know something everyone else doesn't

No - not as far as I'm aware.

But if they did, alternative EPG sources would spring up pretty quickly for networked tivos, as in other countries.
That's not going to happen while tivo stays in the uk though.

Yeah, getting an EPG service up and running if the service was cut would not be difficult, especially for those with network cards in their TiVos already.

I got a bit concerned because Wikipedia said they would only supply EPG until the end of 2009. I don't necessarily trust Wikipedia so thought I would see what you lot had to say in the topic!

Very wise! Wikipedia no longer states this (changed today at 16:24 - probably as a result of your post here).

Whomever IP 213.105.209.84 was/is (reverse IP says someone in Southampton on NTL cable), I'd like to know the source of their statement.

Wasn't me :D I did try looking for this information but it wasn't on the page I found about Tivo. (And this was well before 4pm)

I assume then that there are currently no plans to stop the electronic program guide? I want my box to last as long as possible!
