No thread yet?
Well, there are a few real inconsistencies here. Why did the artifact shock Myka for touching Pete, but it allowed Rebecca to attach jumper cables to it? How was that thing constructed over a thousand years ago? (Yeah, a dumb question, but they didn't even have a concept for electricity back then.) Can Secret Service Warehouse agents just drop off the grid without any investigation? Artie and Claudia are making a good team. Who would have thought that?
Actual dead bodies are superior to pixels?!?

... and what happened to the "goop" they put artifacts in to render them harmless. I like the show, but they really need to strive for consistancy or else they will just go silly.

Also, if that artifact was created to make super warriors, wouldn't there be more than one of them around?

Too late. They already got there, beginning with the first episode.
But I like it anyway.

I dropped my SP after watching about 15 min. of tonight's show. I gave it over 5 eps. to impress me, but I just couldn't stay interested any longer. I really wanted to like it, because I love Sci-Fi.

I thought Artie was a tech genius guy. It seems like he got hit with a stupid stick recently and is now a grouchy, old Luddite while Claudia is this show's Rodney McKay.

I liked this one, but I kept wondering why they didn't just spray the thing with the goop? Why was it alive? And why weren't the Warehouse files digitized already and even the old cases indexed by type of artifact behavior?
Let's see, "burned bodies, unsolved warehouse case" - Bing! "Assigned to, agents ..."
I was willing to suspend my disbelief about the thing being made, but I did have a problem with it seeming to be alive and able to escape.
I'm beginning to like Artie less, and like Claudia more.
No problem with Rebbecca falling off the grid. She would have known how to get away with it.

Actually, I don't think Artie's ever been presented as a high-tech guy. He's more of a Librarian -- knows how to dig up stuff on obscure and arcane mystical objects. He knows how to use all the steampunk tech in the Warehouse, but he doesn't know how to build new tech. Hence the very real need for a Claudia.

Against my better judgment, I went ahead and recorded this episode.

No, he seemed very capable before and even though Claudia is "better", Artie was able to run down the trace to the former Boss's pc.
I agree with cheesesteak and really felt like they dumbed Artie down to show off Claudia.
She's essentially a wisecracking Wesley Crusher.
This is not endearing the show to me.

Right after I made my initial post, I thought about the goo. It seems that it only exists to serve the plot, and does not exist if the plot is better without goop.
I agree, that in this episode, Artie was acting like a Luddite. How did the artifact become invisible? So the warehouse is large enough to store exact replica's of rooms from the inn. And we saw a LOT of rooms in that circular storage unit. Rooms accessed by telephone number.
This was a very odd show in that its level of inconsistency is the highest so far. It is becoming unwatchable. It isn't even living within its own rules.
Pete grabbing all the cookies was funny though.

Add me into the "where the heck did the goo go?" crowd.
I thought for sure Myka would have to chase after Pete and then goo the artifact. It still would have worked just fine for the series.
All the rest of the plot holes I was ok with, that one bugged me.

If I tried to list all the inconsistincies I would never watch this show again. That being said, I take it for what it is; decent entertainment on a budget.
The goo bothered me too, as did the thought of a soldier running out of juice during battle and then attaching itself to the enemy. I mean really, if you can't control it what is it worth, right?
Claudia is OK with me although I agree with the Artie comments.
And what is with Artie always getting the last word in on that I-Phone wanna be?

That's a good point. I had forgotten that Artie was savvy enough with the Internet to track down the trace. But I don't find Claudia all that annoying.
Wesley Crusher? Hell, no. She's the female version of Topher from Dollhouse.

Wasn't Rebecca still using the same name she had when she was a Secret Service Warehouse agent? How do you fall off the grid using your given name and living in a community?
I also noticed that Artie always hangs up on whomever called him on the wPhone. I'd have called him back and cussed him out at least once. :)

And even then they only found her because Jack left an impression of a note that contained her address. I don't think the Warehouse know about that house before, since it was apparently Jack and Rebecca's secret rendezvous.
(And also, she might have been elsewhere for years, possibly under a totally different name, before returning there. For all we know she hid out in the jungles of South America for a few decades before finally returning to St. Louis)

Claudia essentially saved the day while Artie sat around going "Technology, bah!"
How is that not Wesley Crusher?

Ok finally caught up and saw this episode last night...
Better overall than the last 2 episodes for me...it actually kept my interest peaked the whole hour.
Now let's see if they can keep it up.

I am about to knowingly commit heresy:
There are times that from certain angles, Claudia reminds me of Allison Mack (Chloe from Smallville).

Claudia is Lois!!
Anyway, lack of goo, didn't bother me. We haven't seen it since the first or 2nd episode right? I'd forgotten all about it until you guys brought it up.
They could have mentioned it and come up with some technobabble on why it wouldn't work. Like it's designed to work with mystical objects, and not technological, which really is what the bug was.
Claudia is not Wesley at all, IMO. Much more interesting and easier to look at. And Wesley never sassed back at Picard (Until perhaps he was in the academy)

I kept thinking I recognized the actress and finally a light bulb went off and I realized she was Josh's girlfriend on the Drake and Josh show on Nick...how do I know? My daughter used to love watching that show back in the day.

I just watched this. I can suspend disbelief with the best of them, but they need to deal with the goo. It could be something as trivial as the goo not working on everything, but they need to at least hand-wave it away, not just ignore it.

Presumably, none of those angles is one from which her chest is visible. :D

I did chuckle at Claudia's "Warehouse 13, the next generation" line, but I still find her annoying (and that may be the McKay effect). I agree with the other posts here that Artie seemed more than capable of handling the warehouse technology before and now suddenly he can't figure anything out on his own.
I did think it was some decent acting in the last scene there with Pete about to kill himself, and Myka conflicted about the whole thing and not wanting to lose another partner.

the number of files of agents was a little much...how many agents (considering that you only have 2-3 at any one time) could there be in 200 years?
the only way you would have that many boxes is if agents last an average of 2 months...

A little OT, but I've had a SP of this show from the beginning, yet feel I missed an ep.
At the beginning of "Elements" they showed previous scenes of an ep where the girl hacker bings someone back. Yet the last ep we saw ended with Artie looking at his power grid with the words "knock, knock" appearing. Did we miss one or are they airing them out of order ?

You missed one, they didn't (not sure how that happened, maybe a marathon?)
Knock Knock knock was the end of EP 3, Magnetism
It was then also the beginning of EP 4, Claudia where we learned about her brother and the quest to get him back.
EP 5, Elements, began with Claudia on the scooby gang and her brother heading off to find his path
Spoilered just to be safe.
