Hello everybody!, I just installed my HR10-250 and set her all up and she's working perfect except for 1 problem, 1 HD channel that I received when my ota was connected directly to my hdtv I cannot receive on my box . i went to the settings and checked the signal strength on this channel and its about
33 on both tuners and it says no digital signal, all my other HD channels have a signal strength of about 80 , should I try a different frequency?.....I just checked again if the channel was available by directly hooking up to my tv instead of the HR10-250 and it comes in perfect HD....ANY IDEAS??
THANKS

The tuner in the HR10 is notoriously not as good as other tuners. If you have a marginal channel, it may not come in while it does come in on a normal TV.

First, check to see if the channel is listed in the EPG. The HR10 uses Tribune info for your location instead of a conventional PSIP scan, so it should be there, even if you can't receive it.

If you suspect this channel has a lower signal than others, you may have to add an amp or improve your antenna system. If you suspect this channel has a higher signal, you may have to add an attenuator (this tuner is very susceptible to overload). If you suspect the power level is the same as other channels from that direction, it may be simply multipath interference. Antennaweb.org can give you an idea how this channel compares power-wise and direction-wise to others you are receiving.

You can search the archives of this very forum for a lot of strategies to deal with these sorts of problems.
