Megan Wants a Millionaire - Season Thread(?)

I'm the first to admit that I love these reality shows (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=7172102#post7172102) on VH1. They're cheesey, low-brow, train wrecks. So of course I can't look away.

If you're familiar with Megan (http://www.vh1.com/shows/megan_wants_a_millionaire/series.jhtml) (Beauty and the Geek, Rock of Love, Charm School, I Love Money), you know she's a self absorbed narcissist who believe who looks will get her through life. For now she's probably right. But as beautiful as she is, she's pretty ugly on the inside.

I believe it was in Charm School that she proclaimed to Sharon Osborne (who, by the way, loathes her and got into a fight with her on the reunion show for Charm School) that she only aspires to marry a millionaire. So that's where the idea came for this show.

What's so great about this show are the men that they found for her. These are the creepiest, most pathetic, awkward bunch of losers this side of a Judd Apatow movie. Some of them don't even seem straight to me. She so deserves this. Thanks Mark Cronin! Another "winner" here. :up: :up:

OMG! I saw the promo and I said - really? I will, however, admit to having watched many of the Cronin/Abrego trainwreck shows on VH1 but I'm pretty certain that I will be able to resist this little gem.

I suppose, for the guys, it will be a treat since she never wears clothes. hehe :D

As a very open-minded female, who absolutely appreciates beauty in both men and women, I don't think she looks that great. Great body for sure, but not so much in the looks dept, IMO.

Very disappointed in Megan-I know her from Beauty & The Geek, which SHE WON..which means that she was supposed to have changed...from a "dumb blonde" to a more accepting, kind woman. :confused::( Anyway, then there was Rock of Love...where I saw that she hadn't changed at all!

Anyhoo..that being said, +1,000,000 on the rich but LOSER dudes they have dug up to match with Megan! :D My faves (that is, the WORST) are already gone...the old dude/movie producer-I felt so bad for him-using "hip" references like N' Sync and Lady Gaga in his speech...trying to be young :o ...and of course the trust fund dude who didn't have his trust fund yet-I kept waiting for him to say, "But my grandpa's bad sick...he'll keel over any day--and I'll get my $4 million!!" :p

And I can't believe she kept that loser Garth-I don't care that he's a plumber, that is honest work-but he's a d-bag-he broke the other dude's piggy bank! RUDE! :mad:

Oh... Well, I thought those things were German and Japanese specialties, respectively. See, if you'd said "German fetish porn" I would have naturally assumed you were talking about poo; and if you'd said "Japanese fetish porn" I would have suspected bukake; but "Chinese fetish porn" piqued my curiosity. Something new, ya know - that and the idea that any of this was on broadcast, non-subscription, non-pay-per-view television.

Rumor is he was a finalist on this show and he has been telling people he won I Love Money 3. So I'm guessing no.

Oh it's total crap. I almost avoided it, but there's been so little on, I've actually watched a few episodes. It's typical of the Flav/Bret/Real/Chance etc. romance shows. Amusing enough to hold interest, but just barely. :)

I'm not sure why, but I'm never too interested in the dating shows that aren't done by the Mark Cronin/people who brought you The Surreal Life group. My Antonio is no exception-I've seen a few minutes and just wasn't at all interested.

I don't watch this type of show either but I would have watched this one because of the suspected murderer in the cast. I guess the show was about fooling Megan into marrying or going out with at least, some loser who actually is not a millionare. I guess if someone was paying me 100K, then I would subject myself to that nonsense. (Maybe not, I am not rich but I am not desparate for money either.)

Seeing this guy might help others to see what this kind of guy acts like and get them away from similar people, in any case what is the downside, there is none. Although I agree that there would definitely be a larger audience for this show now, the downside is the glorification of this d-bag as a "celebrity", and a potential role model for other psychopaths.

Another downside is that the continuing broadcasts of the shows would further victimize the friends and families of the deceased. And by that I am referring to Fiore's AND Jenkins' families & friends.

You're not kidding. I imagine lawsuits against the outside company hired to screen the contestants -- especially since Jenkins already had a criminal record for domestic abuse in 2007 in Calgary, where he was originally from.

And if he wound up killing Megan, the production company and VH1 would be subject to multiple lawsuits by the families of the victims.
