so, this was . . . lame. I was disappointed to see that Wes chose not to attend.

What really irked me the most had to do with this supposed "man code" being tossed around, and then using that code to castigate each other. What it really amounted to was that man cards should have been collected from almost all of them. I've never seen such sniping and bickering between a bunch of guys.

Also, I found it interesting when someone mentioned that all of these guys had at one time been in a frat, lived in a frat environment and/or been stud jocks etc. And then to see how David STILL doesn't understand how much of a chauvanistic a** he really is. Just completely out of touch with what real women in the world want from a man. He's so used to just plucking the low hanging fruit.

I recorded it but probably won't bother to watch it. I really don't care about the rest since Wes and Reid were not there.

Ok my wife is a semi watcher and it's on when I'm taking care of the kiddos, but having read some of the ribbing one dude is getting in EW I have to know, what went on with one of the guys...something about not being able to "perform" or something?

EW made it out like it was an embarrassing moment several million folks saw that he won't ever live down.

I'm honestly shocked the guys aren't contractually obligated to attend the various specials they do outside of the taping. You'd think they would want to get Wes there at all costs.

Yep pretty bad. Especially since both Wes and Reid were no shows. And it seemed like the first half was Jillien talking about the "men" with Chris.

They showed Reid holding an engagement ring in the coming attractions. Guess that's why he was not there...he ain't done yet!

They did some creative editing there (as they did with Wes) and made it look like that, when in fact, it sounds like they were both just tired and kind of not in the mood and fell asleep. Jill is just doing what the producers are prompting her to do.

Oh yeah. And how about that Pilot guy's reaction when the lady in the audience asked him if he'd consider being the next Bachelor? He's kind of like "oh well, if they ask me, I suppose I'd be honored" blah blah blah...

Doesn't he know the people in the audience have Internet access? Everyone knows he's been petitioning the show to be the next Bachelor ever since he got kicked off. :p

When was this recorded in relation to the end of the show?

I hope Wes' family members are the only ones that buy any of his music.

First, love the fact that they berate Wes for only coming on the show to promote his music and when he refuses to attend the MTA because of how they've edited him during the show, what do they decide to do? Oh yeah, let's promote him even more by playing his song to Jillian in its entirety while trying to make him look bad again. Double edge sword with this guy all season. They want to make him the bad guy SO bad but at the same time, they really are just giving him more exposure for his music.

And this episode....

Jake seriously dude. You are so lame. I want to smack you in your not so perfect face. All his misty eyed talk about still being in love with Jillian annoyed the piss out of me. Dude we get it. You REALLY want to be the next Bachelor. SP off if that happens. He's more boring to me than Kiptyn.

And Dave actually came across less of a D-bag here than the show edited him to be. Juan is still adorable and sweet. Same with Michael. His little speech to Jillian was cute but kinda pathetic.

Everyone else zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Yeah, that was just plain weird... No Pepperoni in the world tastes that good. You know what they say, "like Mother like daughter". She's probably starving herself to look good for the show. :D

Yeah that thing with Wes has me scratching my head. It's almost as though the Network has a piece of his recording contract ala American Idol. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. They are definitely pushing his new record. Perhaps to keep him from suing them for the misleading edit? Who knows, but something weird is going on there...

I couldn't agree with you more about Jake. He's been promoting himself for that job since he realized he wasn't going to win. That whole crying thing on the balcony was a direct rip off from last years bachelor to be. I hope Jake doesn't get it. I just figured all the ladies would be in love with him, but it sounds like his little act isn't fooling EVERYONE. ;)

Yeah but then I've never been into the nice guys.... and I don't try to fool myself or anyone else that I am. :D

I don't get why anyone bought that "I was tired" explanation about the guy not performing either, it was at night, OK, but didn't they have to wake up the next morning too, all rested, and no one asks about then? So why did he really leave?

I think far worse was she took the over-night suite with all 3 of those guys, I thought it was supposed to be for your true love and yes if it does not work out maybe you do invite another one then, but not just be like it's a brothel. I am surprised more people did not mention this. She then told all of them she loved them, she does not think this will be on TV and would wreck a real relationship? That is why I think it is very phony and all these people are just would be actors doing a soap opera practice.

We had no clue what happened in that room. For all we know Ed just passed out and fell asleep, I could believe it. All we know is what the editors made it look like. I also think most if not all the fantasy suite shots were reshot, I am fairly sure there was no camera man there during that actual night.

I'm pretty sure everyone should watch this. It is as close to proof as one can hope for that this show is fake, edited to all hell and scripted. :)

Like a fake, scripted, damage controlling YouTube video?

I don't doubt that they edit and pick and choose, but I also don't doubt that Wes is an ass. :D

FWIW, I'm with you photoshopgrl. But I guess we are the only ones. :D
I can usually tell when somebody is telling the truth and Wes at least appears to be telling the truth. I'll be very surprised if we find out he did indeed have a current girlfriend. Somebody would have popped up with a picture or some video by now. You can't hide something like that. Just ask Jon Gosselin. :)

I don't think he had a current girlfriend, but I think he had an ex he was very close with that might as well had been a girlfriend.

Also I am sure Wes did get a bad edit, but also all those clips of him saying things (even edited) just didn't come out of no where. He did admit to the guys he was there for his music and said if he went home then no big loss to him. I know the finale limo scene is just hours of interview which they cut down to the "best" 3 or 4 min so his final scene may have been slummy (by way of edit) but I also still don't think he is as nice as he is trying to say he is.

I hear you, but that's really not the same thing. There's nothing wrong with having an ex you are best friends with. That's a lot different from having an ex you are still sleeping with. I'm very good friends with one of my exes, but I'm definitely not attracted to her any more. Not in the least. I'm sure Wes is no angel, but I don't think he's guilty of what the show accused him of. That's all I'm saying. I believe he was edited fraudulently to make it appear as though he admitted to having a current GF (that he is sleeping with). I don't think he does.

As for him being there to promote his record? I really can't in good conscience fault him for that. Most of those guys are there to promote something. Mostly themselves probably, and their desire to get "discovered". I think it's safe to say most of the guys aren't really there to find love with Jillian. ;)

I think he has an ex he is sleeping with when the both want to get their rocks off. I think the ex may be a friend, but friend with benefits. That is just my guess/gut feeling and I have no proof either way on it.

Whatever his situation, and whatever the editing was, I don't doubt the guy is a self-absorbed ass. Standing at the ceremony before he got eliminated, he says to the other guys, not to worry, he's going to go home and have lots of sex.

Edited or not, he gave them material. The producers didn't spin a wheel with everybody's name on it to decide who would get edited into a villain. He handed it to them.

)

No doubt. I wouldn't even be surprised if Wes KNEW they might use some of his statements to achieve higher ratings and more publicity for him. When it comes to reality shows, conflict = camera time. That doesn't change the fact that the "show" edited footage and took statements out of context to make it appear he admitted to something he didn't. That's all I'm sayin'. ;)
