Well, as was said last week, it's good to have the gang back. But there really hasn't been much of note yet. Is this season going to be a "will they or won't they" with Eric and Sloan? I certainly enjoy Sloan being around, but I think I'll quickly get tired of them playing these games. Either get together or don't, but don't drag us through the ridiculousness.

Good to see Vince on top again. It will be interesting to see how he screws it up this time. ;)

As was discussed in last week's thread, having Andrew Klein as part of the agency is going to be bad for Ari. Now he's just made it infinitely worse by getting the wives to be good friends. Not only is Klein going to be in the doghouse when his wife finds out, but Ari will be as well since he knew about it.

One funny bit: Turtle commenting that he was the only one guaranteed to have sex that night. Still kind of weird seeing them together, knowing that they're together in real life.

Interesting that Ari is the voice of morality. He's always been a family man at heart, but until now he's done a pretty good job of hiding it. (Although he did manage to frame his family values speech to Klein in terms of self-interest!)

She got 13 years older, just like the rest of us. Everyone except Christie Brinkley. I do not think she ages anymore. She must have sold her soul to Billy Joel or something. :D

Man, I'm sick of E and Sloan. Eric is a wuss and Sloan just enables his wussiness. Remember when Sloan's friend, Silk Spectre, was in town and there was the talk of having a threesome? Eric went to the chicks hotel to apologize for something that wasn't even his idea. It would be nice if the writers gave Eric a pair of testicles.

I didn't know Meadow and Turtle were an IRL couple until I saw her on Jimmy Kimmel last week.

The girl Drama took to the premiere was hot! I hope we see more of her.

I really wish they would let things develop more on this show. They are so quick to want to get back to base that they never let any of the story lines develop. Just like with Medellion you thought it might be a very long arc, but instead was actually gone in a second. They have so many different roads to explore with this show that would be interesting, but instead we always end up glossing over and fast forwarding through the parts that would probably be more interesting.

I do appreciate the casting director on this show, though, and will be sending them a Christmas Card and a lifetime achievement award.

The actress who plays Sloane is hot (she ate a sammich between seasons), but I hate the character. I hope its E that breaks her heart, not the other way around.

I've now watched both episodes and I don't recall laughing a single time. It's not like I can point to a jump the shark moment but the franchise just feels tired to me.

I think E and Sloan need to go on a long, off-camera vacation to sort things out. I do not want to see any more of this stuff with those two. Yes, Sloan is hot but the thing with her and E is beyond annoying.

I'm still watching, but if this were a new show coming on right now, I'd be done with it.

The show is horrible because it is ALL ABOUT E now. Before he was a cog in the wheel (at least felt less of a primary character) and now it is all about him with other people sprinkled in a tad. And I agree way less funny lately.

We need more Turtle, Drama, Ari and his assistant. What is the deal with the other girl in the mix with E and Sloane? I don't find her the least bit sexy, she looks like 12 year old girl to me. The show is always a roller-coaster so since things appear to be going good we all know that there are some major problems coming soon. Missing isn't just the laughs... where are the boobs? hahaha
They have gotten rid of all the reasons to watch this show.

I just remembered that I thought Turtle's obsession with Seth Rogen was pretty funny. Not laugh out loud funny, but on a show that makes a name for itself by getting industry insiders to co-star, it was pretty funny that they were so brutal about Seth Rogen.

Sure Seth Rogen is not a hottie, but Heigl's got a serious case of butterface herself, so I'm not sure what Turtle was getting worked up over. :)

It was amusing, sure. But that's the only thing that has been even amusing these past two episodes. I hope it ramps up a bit soon...

I'm not as anti-E as a lot of people. I've always felt that his character was necessary - you need someone to say "maybe this isn't a good idea" sometimes even though the guys do it, anyway. But...yeah, this has become the "E show" and he is the least interesting character. E should never be the focal point of the show.

Even the stuff with Ari, Lloyd and Mrs. Ari seems tacked on, almost like they are now part of another show and it's just mashed together.

And when the feud between him and the other agent turned personal and the agent went after Ari's wife, that was the line. Ari might be a lot of talk but at the end of the day, his family comes first. Well, maybe Vince first but he at least put a noble try to put his family first.

I'm not sure if I picked up on this correctly but Sloan essentially said the reason they didn't work was because E pushed her to side in favor of Vince. That she wasn't his priority. He said that wouldn't happen again but it certainly seemed from his reaction to her text message that's not the case. Maybe I'm reading that the wrong way though.

Well, he said it wouldn't happen again...and she dumped him anyway. That's why he ignored her text.

If you dump somebody, then the ground rules for your relationship become moot. :D

What feud are you referring to, and when did someone go after Ari's wife? As far as I could tell, there was no feud. It was simply Andrew Klein had started sleeping with someone at work so he wasn't interested in hanging out with his wife. In the meantime, Ari's wife had befriended Andrew's wife and Ari thought he had a sweet setup with a couple that he actually wanted to spend time with. When Ari found that Andrew was cheating on his wife and that might have an effect on his relationship with his wife, that's when he got forceful.

I think mrpantstm was talking about his feud with Adam Davies. I think it was last season.

I figured he must have been talking about something from a previous season, but I didn't see how it applied to this discussion.

It applies, in that, while Ari might on one hand tell his client (Vince) that he banged Dana Gordon when she was his assistant, in actuality, he's far from that. When it comes to family, Ari isn't as juvenile as he'd like people to believe.

Well, he said it wouldn't happen again...and she dumped him anyway. That's why he ignored her text.

Well, the reason she said she dumped him was "he used her as storage." (just rewatched it). I don't have the same opinion I did when I made the above comment but I still feel that E only wants Sloan now because he doesn't have her. But I may be reading that wrong.

Sloan wants an E without Vince, Drama, and Turtle around. But those three are E's best friends, and she's telling him to choose. When a woman gives you an ultimatum to choose between something you love and her, choose the something.

BTW, my prediction is that Andrew will be fired over his sleeping with assistants, and Lloyd will take his place.

I don't think Lloyd is anywhere near ready to be a senior agent...

“Yeah, those guys are *******s. I actually ran into Matt…Kevin Dillon in a Starbucks. And he’s like ‘you know, I’ve got to kind of apologize because apparently the guy who created our show doesn’t like you so much.’ And I said ‘well I have reason to believe because I think [showrunner] Doug Ellin is a moron from all I can understand so it makes sense he doesn’t like me.’ And I’ve kind of said some disparaging things about the show. Although in our defense, [producer] Mark Wahlberg called us misogynistic in an interview, so I think they kind of started that…It’s on. Luckily I never have and never plan on watching Entourage.”

I doubt very much they could have gotten Martin Scorcese if the movie he "directed" was going to be a flop...

They certainly implied from the early reviews and the after party that it did well but we don't know if it was as big a success as Aquaman. Of course, it'll be interesting to see what Vince does now after this success. Whether he learned a lesson from the aftermath of Aquaman (granted different movies) or whether his career will continue to swing from success to failure.

Why not? Not sure I follow. Do you mean Scorsese wouldn't agree to be in the show if one of his movies was bad or flopped? He didn't seem to mind a similar plot in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Well, yeah, you take the clothes off a middle schooler and .... wait a second, this is going nowhere good.

In any event, the actress is freshly 24 and I think she was playing 22 (?) in the episode and definitely struck me as MUCH younger looking than that.

I will admit that she has a lot of NSFW stuff out there on Google. yikes.

Well, the movie just barely had it's premier. It hasn't opened to the public yet, so we don't yet know what kind of box office numbers it will do. But considering the fact that Vince's acting ability has been in question in the recent past, the box office take of this movie is really irrelevant. It's the critical success that is important, and it looks like from that standpoint, it's going to be a homerun.
