Another enjoyable episode.
"Who has the gun?"
"Fine" Takes gun. "Now will you give me your shoelaces."
The Everglades was a welcomed change of scenery.
My only problem was Fiona and Sam showing up. The pilot gave them coordinates to where he dropped the guy off which just happened to be right near where they were searching for Micheal. Just too convenient for my taste.

Any Russian speakers or anyone who has more on "уступки" as Russian for hard ass? From my search on the web it seems to derive from the Russian for "concession" which makes for a weird slang expression. Maybe "someone who makes you concede?"

I enjoyed it as well, the "Deus ex Machina" of Sam and Fiona arriving can be explained a couple of ways, Hardass' men were able to get the airboats in a short time, so they were probably near his base, aslo there are probably a few "main drag" parts of the swamp that are navigable by airboat, yeah they could have done a scene with Sam and Fiona drifting in the airboat, hearing gunshots and trying to move towards the sound but it would have detracted from the action.
How about Micheal's mom doing "Good thug" to Sam and Fiona's "Bad thug"? Fiona's "Subtle" approach?
I wonder if Beck and/or Strickler will be recurring characters, like Barry the money launderer?

Absolutely. Look for a two hour season finale with Barry, Beck, Strickler, "Rain Man," Detective Whasername, Diego, Michael's brother, Nick, and recurring characters yet to come - all helping fight the ruthless criminal mastermind Brennan while hearing again from "Management."
How about Beck being Michael's best buddy now because Michael saved his life from the fatal situation they got in only because Michael involved him?!
How izzitt that Sam - who is constantly looking for ways to get others to pay for meals, beer, and Mohitos, and lives in Mom's guest bedroom while driving the borrowed neighbor's car - has a huge wad of C-notes to throw to the air boat rental guy?
Dropped angle: Michael asked Sam to look up Strickler. Sam said he's on it...and never got any info.

He was obviously busy with curtains.. :)

You answered your own question with the first part of that sentence.

Uh, Sam got on it, found Strickler's boat and he and Fi went there to 'visit' and got the name of the pilot.

I really do love this show, but I was ALMOST stretched the limit of plausibility when Michael insisted on trying to keep helping that guy. I know he got him into it, but at a point it was just foolish to essentially try and save that guy against his will given the potential consequences for himself.
I know they have this angle and mold they want him cast in, but I just thought they might have pushed it too far there.
Episode was another great one though.
I can't even remember thinking an episode of this show was bad though.

I don't know, the guy was a big time hood in Miami and having him owe Micheal would be good for Micheal's new job. Not to mention the fact that if Micheal was seen as the caue of his death, some of his former connections might feel the need to exact revenge.

Yah, like guys exacting revenge for his past wrongs would like be something NEW to Mikey.

I wouldn't mind if Beck became a recurring character. Rainman and any mention of aliens, not so much.

Another great episode. There's always a lot of implausability with Burn Notice, so you have to understand that going on. One thing I thought was interesting. There was one point where Michael was trying to get Beck to go with him "deeper" into the everglades, and they were supposed to be deep in. Yet, only a few yards from where they were, you could see the sun streaming in and what looked like a clearing behind them. Oh well, I guess the camera folks didn't want to get TOO close to the gators :)
