Tivo stuck, twice! Help please! Thanks.

I just recently purchased a used series 2 single tuner tivo. It was in perfect condition and looked barely used, if not new. It was my first experience with tivo and it was working great! I loved it so much. Then after three days of use, I was watching a tv show. I decided to do something else, so I just turned off the TV. After I'd say around 2 hours, I came back and found that it was recording a season pass show like it should have been, but the screen was frozen, and the unit was unresponsive. I pulled the plug, waited 30 seconds, and plugged it back in. It now is stuck on the Welcome, Powering up screen. What should I do to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like the hard drive may have died. Run the "kickstart" 54 hard drive tests (http://www.weaknees.com/tivo-kickstart-codes.php) to test the drive physically. If it passes run KS57 to check the file system.

I tried that but as soon as I plug in the TiVo the green light is on, and it looks like the remote sensor or something insn't working because I was holding down the pause button like it said and nothing changed. Thanks for the response.
