After 16 months of perfect service, my Tivo Series 3 has started intermittently dropping the video signal during both playback and live TV viewing. The audio continues to play.
Stopping the playback and then restarting cures the problem. I can rewind and see the video that was originally blacked out so it appears not to be a HD problem. The Tivo Is connected to my system via a Denon AV receiver and I am unsure if the problem is in the receiver or the Series 3.
The blackouts occur in live TV mode as well and can be cured by turning off the entire system and then turning it back on.
My next move is to run the Tivo directly into the TV bypassing the Denon. Anyone had a similar problem or other advice?
